Altar de Nossa Senhora de Fátima

No altar de Nossa Senhora de Fátima, antes dedicado à Senhora do Rosário, podemos ver à direita a imagem de São João Batista e à esquerda a imagem de São João Evangelista, saídas com quase certeza da mesma oficina regional de meados do séc. XVI, no círculo de Manuel Pereira. 

A Imagem de Nossa Senhora de Fátima, da autoria de Thedim, foi oferecida pelo Bispo do Funchal, D. António Ribeiro, em 1951.

Recentemente foi colocada a fotografia de São João Paulo II que visitou a Sé do Funchal em 1991 e foi sempre um grande devoto de Nossa Senhora de Fátima.

At the altar of Our Lady of Fatima formerly dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, we can see on the right the scupture of St. John of the Baptist with his attributes in upholstered, polychromed and gilded wood, and St. john the Evangelist on the left, almost certainly from the same regional workshop, mid-17 th, by the Bishopt D. António Manuel Pereira Ribeiro.
